Florida residents receive 100 free miles per day with $.40 each additional mile. Minimum Rental 3 days.
Local renters/Florida residents must show proof of bodily injury and liability…PIP Only will not be Accepted. Proof should include the name and address of the insurer and the policy number. Local Renters must present a most recent utility bill within 30 days of the rental date. We can elect not to rent to you if you don’t present the required proof of insurance coverage. $1,000 Deposit is required above the rental amount. No Cash or pre-paid cards will be accepted.
GENERAL RENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Travel Restricted to the State of Florida. Renters must be 21 years of age or older with a valid photo driver’s license. A major credit card or debit card and driver’s license has to match the renter’s last and first names.
Renters 21 through 24 years of age, add an additional $25.00 per day surcharge. Renters 70 years and older, add $25.00 per day surcharge.
Underage/Senior Driver surcharges will not be included in the base rate; they will be shown as additional fees on the contract at the time of the rental. Please Note that additional local charges are not included in the rate quoted online.
Qualifications for renters from countries outside the USA; Must have a valid driver’s license from the renter’s country of origin; must have a valid passport and a valid international driver’s license if the driver’s license of origin is not in Roman alphabet.
Renters from countries outside the United States MUST purchase Coverage (no exceptions).
All additional authorized drivers (INCLUDING SPOUSES) must be present at the time of the rental to sign the rental agreement.
Reservations may not be altered at the time of rental. Any modifications will be subject to a rate higher than the reservation rate.
CANCELLATIONS
Reservations are automatically canceled after 2 hours of expected arrival time. If you wish to cancel your reservation, please email a request to info@faircr.com at least 48 hours prior to pick-up time to avoid the $35 cancellation fee.
PAYMENT METHODS
We accept the following credit cards: AMEX, VISA, MASTERCARD, DINER’S CLUB and DISCOVER.
We also accept cash, check cards with Visa or MasterCard Logo.
When using Pre-paid cards, gift cards with Visa or MasterCard Logo, or cash, purchase of CDW (Collision damage Waiver) is required with proof of liability insurance.
When using Debit cards, the purchase of collision damage waiver (CDW) is required.
CDW is optional when a major credit card is used for your rental; Only One Major credit card can be used with no combination of other credit cards or any forms of payment. The amount held from your major credit card will be the estimated amount of the rental plus $300 deposit. If you accept our coverage (Collision damage Waiver) CDW, your credit card will be authorized for the amount of the rental and no deposit is required (Florida Residents must leave a $500-$1,000 Deposit).
COVERAGE & INSURANCE
COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER
CDW is offered at the time of rental for an additional daily charge. If the renter accepts CDW, Fair car rental waives or reduces the renter responsibility for loss of, or damage to, the rental vehicle excluding (deductibles). The amount of your responsibility varies according to the type of vehicle you rent. We will not waive our right to collect for comprehensive losses such as fire, theft, vandalism, flood, hail, or acts of God. In addition, there are other exclusions from collision damage waiver. Please read the back of the Fair car rental agreement for a complete list of exclusions.
PARTIAL DAMAGE WAIVER
PDW is offered at the time of rental for an additional daily charge. If the renter accepts PDW, Fair Rent A Car waives or reduces the renter responsibility for loss of, or damage to, the rental vehicle UP TO $2,500 AFTER (deductibles).
SUPPLEMENTAL LIABILITY INSURANCE
You can purchase supplemental liability insurance (SLI). If you do, your liability coverage increases to as much as $1 million combined single limit for each accident. This coverage greatly expands your liability protection perhaps even beyond your own personal auto policy. Restrictions apply. Ask for a copy of an SLI brochure at the rental counter.
PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE
PAC provides certain life and medical benefits in the event of an accidental death and/or injury that occurs during the rental. PAC coverage extends to the customer for the duration of the rental and to all passengers while occupying the car.
